Penn Skate now boasts an enlarged version of the Wooden Waves bowl:

May 11 2002 - June 20, 2004
The skatepark has officially closed its doors, and deconstruction has begun. We would like to thank all the 8000+ skaters that have skated the park in the last two years, and remind them to remember Wooden Waves as the awesome park it was. At an alarming rate, independant skate parks in our area such as Title 10, 360 Skate Spot, and more have been closing due to enormous overhead. The photo below is of the last session at our park; our skate photo gallery will stay up and continue to expand, so send in your favorite Wooden Waves photos: phobiamail1@cs.com

Wooden Waves' bowl has a new home at PENN SKATE in Whitehall, PA. Chris and the crew at Penn Skate will have the bowl ridable by September of this year. Check their site for progress.

(Aug 16 2002 - June 20 2004)
The largest crowd in the club's history gathered to bid farewell to the greatest all-ages club Reading, PA ever had. Photos from the last show are here. The old gallery is still up, and shows will now be booked and held at The Silo.
Sound Waves, in its short two-year history, hosted over 100 all-ages shows. Local, regional and national acts played the venue; all the bands and fans left with smiles on their faces, with a great sound and stage, and witnessed some of the greatest shows to ever take place in our town.
